About Bridget

Bridget Edell, creator and host of cable TV’s home show “Lip Gloss & A Sander” is back from sabbatical and breaking out in new directions.

Viewers know Bridget for her TV junking adventures and inspiring people to create their own Do-It-Yourself projects. Being an avid refinisher, planet-friendly enthusiast, and savvy decorator, Bridget has earned popularity as a local DIY resource in the Washington D.C. area. After eight episodes of airing, Lip Gloss & A Sander doubled its market reach and won her a Viewers Choice Monty Award by MC Media TV viewers.

Bridget’s inspiration comes from growing up learning her father’s craft of how to strip furniture of its polish and refinish pieces to bring out their natural beauty and make them look new. For over twenty years she has refined her techniques with paints, glazes and other additives resulting in her own brand of recycling old-into-new home furnishings and décor.

After her college days at Penn State, careers in both commercial real estate and hospital administration, and being a stay-at-home mom raising two children, Bridget decided to return to the studio to continue following her passion – utilizing the skills her father taught her.

Bridget now teaches DIY lovers in person how to benefit from the lessons her dad instilled, with her own spin on decorating style.

Bridget’s TV appearances include FOX 5 Morning News, ABC "Let's Talk Live", CBS "WUSA 9 News" and most recently CBS “WUSA 9 Great Day Washington”.  She lives in Gaithersburg, MDwith her husband, family and two dogs.
